From the front of the main reason of steel structure corrosion as we know, the content of pollutants is an important factor affecting the degree of atmospheric corrosion, and the surface dirt will seriously affect the adhesion of coatings on steel surface, and make the film under corrosion continue to expand, causing the coating failure or damage, unable to reach the expected protective effect. Therefore, the influence of the quality of the steel surface treatment on the protective effect and life of the coating is sometimes even greater than that of the coating itself. Therefore, attention should be paid to the quality of the steel.

In the medium erosion environment, the load-bearing steel members, when their shape is more complex or more special, can choose pickling and derusting methods. Acid washing should be guaranteed by special process control (not using hydrochloric acid). Additional corrosion inhibitors shall be added and cleaned in place to ensure that the corner and concave parts do not accumulate acid and cause hydrogen embrittlement of the material.
