Energy-Saving House with High-Performance Insulation
The Energy-Saving House with High-Performance Insulation is designed around a continuous thermal envelope. High-density insulation fills the wall and roof cavities of the light steel frame, while a reflective membrane and thermal-break details eliminate cold bridges that waste energy in ordinary buildings.
Triple-glazed low-E windows, an airtight building membrane and a heat-recovery ventilation system keep the indoor temperature stable and the air fresh all year round. Rooftop photovoltaic panels can be integrated into the design to offset household electricity consumption.
Together these measures reduce heating and cooling energy demand by more than half compared with conventional houses, lowering utility bills and carbon emissions at the same time. The house remains comfortable in both cold winters and hot summers with only minimal active conditioning.
