A Useful Quotation Starts with Useful Project Information

A custom heavy steel villa is not a standard commodity. The structural frame, member sizes, connections, wall systems, roof build-up, shipping volume and installation method can change significantly from one project to another. For that reason, a reliable quotation requires more than a photograph and an approximate floor area.

1. Plot and Building Dimensions

Provide the available plot size and the preferred building footprint. If possible, include length, width, number of storeys, approximate total floor area and any height restrictions. A simple hand sketch can be useful at an early stage.

2. Room and Functional Requirements

List the required bedrooms, bathrooms, living areas, kitchen, storage, balconies, terraces, garage or carport requirements, and any special spaces such as a double-height living room or home office.

3. Architectural References

Reference images, concept drawings or preferred exterior styles help the design team understand roof form, glazing, facade materials and the overall visual direction. These references do not need to be final construction drawings.

4. Local Design Conditions

Structural design depends on project location. Buyers should provide the project city or region and, when available, local requirements for wind, snow, seismic design and other relevant loads. Final values should be confirmed according to applicable local codes and project engineering requirements.

5. Preferred Supply Scope

Clarify whether the inquiry is for the primary steel structure only, a structural package with secondary framing, or a broader building-material package. Doors, windows, wall finishes, roofing, insulation and interior materials can be handled differently depending on the project.

6. Delivery and Installation Expectations

Share the destination port or delivery location and indicate whether local contractors will install the structure or whether installation guidance is required. This helps the supplier consider packing, labeling, documentation and assembly support.
